Got Questions? We've Got Answers!

What is Revive '23?

Revive Winter Camp is put on by Lakeside Bible Church and held at Camp Tejas in Giddings, TX. While we work directly with each other during the planning process, some decisions are made by Lakeside (schedule, speakers, music, games, activities, etc.) and others are made by Camp Tejas (meal selections, camp safety policies, cleaning procedures, etc.).

Who is Revive Winter Camp for?

Revive is for students in 6th-12th grade and the adult leaders/staff/youth pastors from their church.

Where is Camp Revive held?

We partner with Camp Tejas. They are located at: 1038 PR 2191, Giddings, TX 78942

How do I register for Revive Winter Camp?

Registration is done with Lakeside and can be completed online here. ALL campers need to register in this location even if you have registered directly with a representative at your own church.

How do I pay for Revive Winter Camp?

All payments will be made directly to the church you are attending with. When registering online, you will not make a payment unless you are attending with Lakeside Bible Church.

Are there scholarships avaliable?

Any scholarships will be issued directly by the church you are attending with. You will need to speak to a representative at your church for more information.

How much does Revive Winter Camp cost?

You will need to contact the representative of your church for the amount. Each church has different costs to account for (travel, food, etc.) so each church may have a slightly different amount to charge their campers.

What all is included with the cost of camp?

The cost to attend Revive Winter Camp with your church covers your lodging, meals and activities while at the Camp Tejas facility. You will also receive a Revive t-shirt and daily snacks.

Do I need to bring extra money to camp for anything?

Camp Tejas has a gift shop and concession stand/coffee lounge with items you may wish to purchase. These items are NOT included in the cost of attending camp and you will need to bring additional money if you wish to purchase anything from these vendors.

The church you are attending with may choose to stop for a meal on the way to/home from camp or have additional travel expenses related to attending camp. You will need to consult with a representative from your church about additional spending money that may be required outside of your time at Revive.

What do I need to bring?

A printed Bible and a pen/pencil of course!

The basics - Comfortable clothes and closed-toed shoes for two days of activities and 2 modest outfits that you don’t mind getting dirty in your team’s color.

Bedding -  a sleeping bag and a pillow.

Toiletries & a towel. Refillable water bottle & snacks.

A more detailed list will be posted before camp time that will include more specifics based on the planned activities for your weekend.

What if I have special dietary needs?

You will have an opportunity to tell us about your needs when you register online. The cafeteria at Camp Tejas is more than happy to accommodate your needs and will provide special meals at no additional cost to anyone who needs them. Just let us know at registration what you can’t have and we will take care of the rest.

Who will I share a dorm with?

Sleeping arrangements are decided in advance by the camp administrator and based on the numbers of campers in each group from each church. Girls & guys will never be assigned in the same room. When you arrive, you will receive your cabin assignment so you will know where to take your things. Camp Tejas has 55 private rooms and 12 bunk houses during retreat season. Every room has heating, air conditioning, and a bathroom with hot water. We ask each youth group to ensure same-sex adult supervision at all times while students are in the cabins.

What if I want to attend but my church isn't listed in the registration?

Area churches that are invited to attend Revive Winter Camp are ones that we have a relationship with and know to be like-minded in our mission to share the Gospel with young students. If you are not able to attend as the guest of one of the churches listed on the registration page, have your youth pastor contact Kyle Jenison for more information.

Is there a deadline to register?

Yes! Online registration will close at midnight on February 9, 2023. There will also be a price increase to attend on February 1st so be sure to register early!

What forms do I need to fill out to attend?

Permission Slips for Tejas Retreat Center will be required for each student/staff and are located here. Check with your church representative if there are additional release forms they will need you to fill out.

(Church Admins: Every church is required to provide proof of liability insurance adequate to cover any injuries incurred by it’s participants in the form of a Certificate of Liability Insurance. The Certificate Holder named will be Tejas Retreat Center, 1038 PR 2191, Giddings Texas 78942)

Will Revive Winter Camp get cancelled?

We anticipate an incredible time as we plan on meeting for Revive Winter Camp 2023. In the uncertain times surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and the potential of dangerous winter weather conditions, we plan on staying in close contact with Camp Tejas. We will also continue to monitor local and state regulations and weather broadcasts.

Our plan is to anticipate camp happening until we are told otherwise. If we learn that local regulations prevent us from having camp, we will let you know and refund your registration.
